Chatham-Kent has a full-service family resort, called Chatham’s Wheels, which is 65,000 square feet consisting of an arcade, indoor amusement park, miniature golf course, indoor/outdoor pools with two waterslides, go-kart track, bowling lanes and various other attractions. Many changes have been made recently that have led to a stronger economy and a safer environment to raise children.
While changes are still being made, there are also other problems that need to be addressed. Mental health and the health of all citizens is, of course, very important. Some mental illnesses, such as social and emotional disorders, have become apparent�especially among the youth of this area. Current Education
Many mental illnesses and other problems have been shown among the youth of the Chatham area. For this reason, they have been constantly working to improve schools and education for young people. The learning environment is one of the most influential parts of a child's life, and the school board has been cracking down on bullying as well as getting students involved in social activities.4 These will help improve life for young people, as well as their families, and will improve the community overall.
