Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an approach related to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) that is based in science. Using ACT, I aim to help you increase your psychological flexibility, enabling a more adaptable set of emotional responses to your current difficulties. By learning about yourself, you will better be able to act as your own mentor and have more resilience in managing future difficulties. Throughout therapy, we will explore, values, goals, mindfulness (present-centeredness), thoughts, and feelings that may be holding you back and those that may be motivating as well.

I am a Registered Psychologist in the Province of Alberta and have been a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists since 2002. The College is the "regulatory body for the profession of psychology in the province of Alberta, mandated to regulate the profession in accordance with provincial legislation, the Health Professions Act and the Psychologists Profession Regulation" (CAP website).
