My approach to anger management focuses on helping clients recognize the triggers and underlying emotions that contribute to their anger. Through techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) coping skills, we work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns, build healthier coping skills and practice emotional regulation strategies. My goal is to help clients respond to frustration with greater self-awareness, manage anger more effectively, and improve their relationships and overall well-being.

I utilize various techniques to assist with anger management such as: mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance. In addition to assisting with any unresolved trauma and family of origin issues that may contribute to struggles with anger/rage. Many cognitive behavioral therapy strategies can assist with re-learning how to cope with overwhelming feelings that are inherent in anger.
