Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist / Certified EMDR Therapist / Experienced Christian Counselor

In my experience as an EMDR therapist, I pay close attention to the links between past and present. I’ve seen time and time again how unhealed emotional wounds resurface and come out sideways. While anger management can provide helpful strategies, they don’t get to the heart of the issue. Often, anger is what we see on the surface, but the real problem is what’s underneath the anger. Negative beliefs like “I’m helpless,” “I’m out of control,” and “I’m a failure,” start to bubble up, and anger comes to the rescue. It can get us in trouble, but at least it gets the blood pumping. With research-proven EMDR therapy, I help men heal anger at its source so it doesn’t have to be managed.

Katie Tiffany, M.S.W., SWC
Counselor
400 E Horsetooth Rd, Suite #100, Fort Collins, Colorado 80525 | 970-227-2770
Katie approaches counseling for anger with the understanding that anger is often a meaningful signal rather than a problem to eliminate. She provides a structured, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore the underlying emotions, stressors, and patterns that contribute to anger responses. By helping clients increase awareness of triggers, strengthen emotional regulation skills, and develop healthier ways of expressing needs and boundaries, Katie supports lasting change rather than short-term control. Her collaborative, strengths-based approach emphasizes practical tools, accountability, and self-compassion, allowing clients to reduce reactive behaviors, improve relationships, and respond to challenges with greater clarity, balance, and confidence.

Evans, Evans, Colorado 80620 | 9702272770
My approach to anger management is rooted in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore the underlying emotions and experiences driving their anger. I help clients identify patterns, triggers, and beliefs that contribute to emotional dysregulation, using evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT).
