The pressures and expectations that adolescents carry around with them is a huge weight. I use non-directive, directive and sand play therapy when working with children. Given that younger children's brains are in a process of development and many of the more complex cognitive skills don't develop until later, play is the most effect method of learning to solve problems and process emotions or issues.
