Diamond Counseling provides therapy services for children ages 5 and older. Even though your child may not be able to articulate their need for therapy, they have other ways of letting you know. This can include their performance at school, behavioral issues at home or school that may be problematic, fear, depression, or having difficulty sharing what they are feeling. As your therapist, I work to engage your child in an emotionally safe manner. I also involve, you, the parent(s) whenever possible. I provide evening office hours to fit both your school and work schedules. The Diamond Counseling office location is at Wadsworth and Hampden.

I highly specialize in working with young children. I have extensive training and knowledge in early childhood development and use a combination of play therapy and EMDR when treating children. I believe trust is the most important component of therapy with kids and put a large emphasis on building the therapeutic relationship in the beginning. This allows kids to feel safe and benefit long term from the therapy process.
