I use non-directive, directive and sand play therapy when working with children. Given that younger children's brains are in a process of development and many of the more complex cognitive skills don't develop until later, play is the most effect method of learning to solve problems and process emotions or issues. Using "Play Therapy", we enter the world of play and within the play, one finds the needs of the child, and the parents are then able to see how they may help their children in positive ways.
