I've had a 40 year career at the Department of Veteran's Affairs working in Mental Health units. Many of those patients had a primary problem with Substance Abuse. I have completed substance abuse assessments, facilitated outpatient and inpatient therapy groups for substance abusers, and extensively worked with their families.
