I offer a support group based on The Genesis Process for Relapse Prevention of Addictive/ Compulsive Behavior's by Michael Dye and Patricia Fancher, PhD. This is a Christian-based curriculum designed to identify and facilitate healing of emotional wounds underlying addictive compulsive behaviors. The support group provides an opportunity for participants to discuss application of Genesis Process skills in daily life.

Rooted in a holistic approach, I believe that addiction stems from early-life adversity and trauma, causing individuals to seek belonging in substances or behaviors. I do not agree with this cultures approach of criminalizing drug use and clearly see how this belief has done a disservice to people who ultimately need healing.
