I am very client-centered when it comes to psychotherapy, but that does not mean my only theoretical approach is client-centered psychotherapy. Despite my many approaches to psychotherapy, you, as the client, take center stage in every therapy session. I want whatever happens in therapy to be a unique fit for you and your therapy needs. I consider the client-therapist relationship to be very important in our work together. With trust, we can build a stronger foundation for positive changes to settle.

I use a blended form of psychotherapy with my clients. I have clients who started treatment for one specific issue, primarily, substance use and then during the session things from their childhood start unfolding and a connection is made on how the adverse childhood experiences play a role in their current thinking pattern, decision making and results they get because of how they look at the world. Psychotherapy helps my clients freely explore "hidden" feelings that have been buried deep down inside, and which affects them subconsciously.

When clients graduate from treatment, they take with them a box full of "tools", such as effective anger management techniques, avoiding confrontations that lead to negative expressions of anger, resolving conflict peacefully and quietly, making the right decisions in every aspect of life, and perseverance to always build skills against life's problems and apply them consistently.
