Our emotions are a significant part of what makes us human. While rage can derail healthy relationships, there is a message to be heard and understood by the distress you are experiencing. I desire to walk alongside you to provide practical strategies towards alleviating emotional tidal waves, as well as hopeful insight into the deeper reasons underlying your distress.

I have never met a person who doesn't have some reason to be angry. But, I have also seen much displaced anger, rage disproportunate to the situation at hand and relationships destroyed due to anger. If your anger is bothering you and getting between you and the people you love, call me today. I have been able to help many people see where their anger may originate and better navigate their emotions, thoughts and behaviors. There is hope for those who call.

Anger is good! This may seem contrary to what you've always believed about anger. You've probably spent a lot of time and energy trying to get rid of it. That would be a big mistake. Did you know that God was angry at times? If God was angry, how could it be wrong to feel anger? I propose the issue is not in the emotion itself, but in how we express it. You'll benefit from counseling for anger issues by learning healthy ways to use your anger, becoming more emotionally insightful, and developing skills to become connected deeper relationally.

Each clients plan is individualized, however, to address anger she frequently provides a combination of counseling, EMDR, and biofeedback (She offers; EEG biofeedback, Quantum biofeedback, temperature training, relaxation exercises, etc). Biofeedback can have a calming and stabilizing effect. Counseling and EMDR can help individuals process their anger and learn new strategies to cope/deal with anger. One of the first steps in working with chronic anger and irritability is to rule out factors such as depression or even brain trauma and dementia. Once those factors are ruled out, it is important to look for patterns when anger flareups occur, and to increase awareness of "early warning signs" and retrain the body to respond to symptoms of "flooding" (increased blood pressure, heart rate, etc.) with calming strategies (deep breathing exercises and mindfullness practices). Finally, looking at thoughts and beliefs that contribute to feeling angry can help change the frequency and intensity of anger.

Anger is part of our emotional life and does not, in and of itself, predict anything bad or good. Anger, if it is not well managed, can however be very destructive to individuals and relationships. Exploding anger and stuffing anger have the very same hurtful physiological effects. The relevant issues need to be dealt with in an effective manner to fully deal with the angry feelings. The start of therapy is an assessment of the individuals style of anger. Learning cognitive behavioral, self soothing and positive self expression skills can go a long way to help deal with the important issues and manage the feelings of anger and the related hurts.
