In my practice I first do a caring and comprehensive evaluation to make sure that I understand each person's unique story and situation. I then kindly partner with my clients in setting measurable goals so that we keep the work accountable and so that we know when we are done. I then collaborate with my clients in choosing the science-based therapy that stands the best chance of alleviating their pain, and helping them to make the most out of this lavish banquet that surrounds us all, as quickly as possible.

I work collaboratively with individuals to set goals and articulate areas of growth. I use cognitive and psychodynamic approaches to help you to: Understand and process the sources of distress, and Develop coping styles and behaviors to better manage that distress. Some issues benefit not only from talk therapy but also medication. I may recommend this combined approach of both psychotherapy and medication to help lessen distress. I have working relationships with area psychiatrists making this combined approach easier for the patient.
