I believe that when a person has an overestimation of threat, combined with an underestimation of their ability to cope, an anxious response develops. Recognizing that anxiety will never fully disappear, I work with the client to live alongside their anxiety by learning to understand it. I help with strategies and techniques that will help the client make meaning of their stress-response and understand and challenge their internal dialogue.
