I have developed a unique approach to couples counseling that has proven to be effective in increasing communication.

I work with couples around many issues, including sexual issues. I help couples see the cycles they get into with each other and understand how they are triggered to be reactive. A few of the issues I work with are communication, infidelity, & sexual desire discrepancy.

Careers and children place enormous strains on a couple’s ability to be together in an intimate and satisfying way. Every couple has different ways of coping with the challenges, and counseling can provide the perspective and encouragement to re-create a shared vision.

I see relationships as one of the principal opportunities for growth we have available to us. I work with a variety of research methodologies that focus on practical, concrete ways of improving communication and helping two people to give up their opposing positions.

With couples, I show each partner how first to control their emotional reactions (anger & hurt) and how to negotiate for what they want. This enables each individual to respond more effectively to their partner and increases the chances of problem resolution.
