We will work together to identify the problem behaviors and frameworks and map a path toward freedom from pain. Couples in any place or stage of their relationship, experience a full range of experiences, feelings, expectations, and hopes that may or may not be fulfilled or fulfilling. You may discover that your values are different or that what you thought about your partner is different from what is. Perhaps you love your partner and relationship but find there are certain themes of conflict that arise. You can look at these themes or areas of conflict to become more in-line with each other, even in your differences. Being the same is not what makes for happy relationships. Being ACCEPTING of differences is what does.

Couples, married or not, seek therapy for many reasons; including hoping to resolve differences, hoping to improve communication, and/or hoping to improve their intimate relationship. My work with couples, enhanced by my training in sex therapy, addresses these issues so as to help the individuals within the relationship more effectively express themselves and more effectively understand their partner, and so as to promote the overall strength and joy in the relationship itself.

I provide couples counseling that emphasizes that there are two separate individuals contributing to one couples dynamic. Therefore I strive to understand how each member of the couple functions and how this impacts the relationship. The goal is to determine if the couple can learn how to complement one another in a manner that will maximize relationship satisfaction.
