I work in tandem with parents and families to provide individual therapy for children and youth over the age of 7. Through talk therapy with elements of play and creativity, we can work together to learn more about improving wellness, conflict resolution, school progress, and more. The Family Enhancement Centre has highly experienced and professionally trained child counsellors who help children cope with problems related to domestic violence, sexual abuse, parent's divorce, death of a loved one, among other emotional issues. My approach to counseling and helping children focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves. I use age-appropriate techniques such as play therapy, storytelling, and creative activities to encourage communication and emotional growth. Building trust is essential, and I work closely with families to support the child’s overall development. My goal is to help children build confidence, develop coping skills, and navigate their emotions in a healthy, constructive way.

I love working with children!! Children are wired to learn. Often, though, they struggle to communicate their needs, wants and wishes with others in a proper way. Likewise, adults struggle in the same way and/or feel inadequate in coaching their children. Broken communication lines can cause major side effects. This is where I come in. I'm able to connect with most children quit rapidly. I find that whenever children feel understood, they quickly establish a safe bond and share their stories with me. Once this bond is built, most children can't wait to come back to see me for more life coaching/counselling. Parents are always surprised by this.

We specialize in helping children manage feelings of anxiety and building leadership skills in order to maximize their success on all levels. Kindred Hope Wellness team specializes in children (10 years old +) and has focused on many children with exceptionalities (disabilities) to explore and understand clients to learn better to cope with any struggles in multiple areas, such as school, home, friendships, etc. Our team focuses on a CBT and ACT approach in building the clients' strategies and skills that involve self-awareness, executive functioning skills, and other options.
