I am deeply committed to helping people foster healthy relationships, both with themselves and with their loved ones. I also am someone whose personal faith shapes and drives my vocation as a Psychotherapist and Couples Therapist. I have a Master's Degree in Counselling from Tyndale Seminary, and have served in many roles (including spiritual leadership) within the church for over 20 years.

As a Spiritual Care Practitioner with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care, my approach to biblically based counseling integrates timeless scriptural principles with compassionate listening and practical guidance. Clients benefit from a safe, respectful space where faith informs healing and personal growth. While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that. At Meristem, our services are rooted in evidence-based therapeutic approaches presented through a Christian lens for those who so desire. It is important to note that we welcome individuals of all faiths or individuals that do not associate themselves with a faith. Jesus said "I came to heal the broken hearted" and at some point, most of us would love to sink into that compassionate offer. Biblical based counselling does not infer any judgement or inflexibility within the therapeutic process.

As someone who identifies as a Christian, I have the ability to utilize principles of the Christian faith when working with clients who also resonate with this religious background. Rather than labelling myself as a "Christian Counsellor," I label myself as a Registered Psychotherapist whom pulls from Christian principles, beliefs, and morals. Life is difficult and the dynamics of the world today only add complexity. Consolation in Christ can be shared and explored - including in therapy.
