My formal degree is Marriage and Family Therapy. This systemic training focuses on the family as a dynamic and integral part of each individual. Everyone in the family influences everyone else, change impacts the system. The more people in a family involved in the therapy session the better! As a family member in therapy you can understand your impact on everyone else, reach new levels of communication with each other, and discover new ways of being that are respectful, inclusive, and connected.

Family relationships are complex and are oftentimes impacted by various events, life transitions, and societal shifts. I believe that every family is unique and that your efforts to navigate challenges are valid and purposeful. As a family therapist, my aim is to help you strengthen your relationships with one another and to support you in finding a balance between your individual and family needs. I am the only Registered Marriage & Family Therapist in Saugeen Shores. Most RMFTs are trained in a systems approach to family therapy. This means we view the family as a system and try to improve the interactions between members of the system in order to improve the overall functioning of the family.
