Therapists at Arukah Counselling want to help families to understand each other in a greater manner, learn to work through issues and situations that cause conflict or misunderstanding and learn to support each other in a way that is worthwhile and productive. In family therapy, my approach revolves around fostering open communication, understanding intergenerational dynamics, and promoting healthy relationships within the family unit. I prioritize creating a safe and non-judgmental space where each family member feels heard and validated, allowing for the exploration of underlying issues and conflicts. By addressing family dynamics holistically, clients can benefit from gaining insight into patterns of interaction, developing effective communication skills, and building stronger connections with one another. Through collaborative exploration and targeted interventions, families can work towards resolving conflicts, improving cohesion, and ultimately fostering a more supportive and nurturing family environment.

Most family therapists inadvertently create more chaos through their well-intentioned efforts to assist a family move through a change process. Why?
