Our deepest wounds are often those that are at the hands of another person. Human brokenness is the root of our need for redemption. This holds true in therapy and growth work as well. When we encounter our deep wounds, we encounter our need for our Big God. Here, we are able to reconcile the broken our hurt parts of our ourselves. While I hold deep secular training, and value it's proven effect, I ultimately relinquish personal/professional headings to Jesus. He is in control and can charge and enliven therapy! I believe that Christ is the ultimate source of hope and healing in this life. But I also believe that he’s given us the gift of rational minds, able to discern scientific and psychological truths built into the fabric of His amazing creation. My approach is grounded firmly in Scripture, but I don’t use Scripture as a weapon. You don’t need more guilt, but rather, a reminder of God’s promises and a compassionate guide to support you.
