Grief is a part of the human experience and sometimes comes in unexpected circumstances. We experience grief, not just when we lose someone in our lives, but also when we experience loss of any kind. Recovering from grief and loss takes how ever long it takes and every person on the planet is different. Start by giving yourself permission to take as long as you need to recover and give a lot of grace to yourself all along the way!

Many who grieve find processing their loss in traditional talk therapy to be difficult, even impossible. We have found that neurofeedback can help in the early stages of grief, loss, and trauma to facilitate healing that can eventually lead to more traditional talk therapy or spiritual direction. Neurofeedback gives the brain more flexible options and frees resources to be able to process things that may have been too painful or difficult to talk about.

As an experienced Christian Counselor and ordained pastor, I’ve supported many men through the grief process. If you’re grieving, I will provide a supportive space for you to process your emotions. Because grief is a normal part of being human, I can’t take it away or rush you through it. However, I can help you identify barriers to grief, and help you prevent the grief process from becoming stuck. I know grief professionally. But I also know grief personally. Losing one of my best friends and my beloved grandparents was hard enough, but facing the untimely death of my father was, and is, a uniquely painful experience.
