InnerVoice Psychotherapy & Consultation is a Chicago-based group private practice founded by Farah Hussain Baig, LCSW, that specializes in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and couple’s issues. FARAH HUSSAIN BAIG, LCSW
Owner 
Farah has nearly fifteen years of experience in the field of mental health. She earned her Master of Social Work degree, with honors, from the University of Illinois at Chicago and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan. In addition to facilitating a number of psycho-educational and substance abuse therapy groups, she has also provided clinical consultation to a number of agencies in the Chicago area. Her clinical experience consists of a variety of settings, such as community mental health, residential treatment, and employee assistance.  She enjoys working with individuals and couples to find a deeper understanding of themselves, communicate more effectively, as well as help clients find practical ways to manage life stressors.  Farah is trained in a number of therapeutic modalities including CBT and EMDR.  She is frequently asked to speak on mental health related topics and has been interviewed as a clinical expert for various television programs.
 
 

 
 
EWELINA BEARDMORE, LCPC
Psychotherapist & Clinical Manager 
Ewelina is a Licenses Clinical Professional Counselor uses a relational and strength-based model to help individuals and couples gain awareness of the roles and the dynamics present in their relationships. Being born in Poland and raised in France, Ewelina's international background has enhanced her cultural awareness and sensitivity, which allows her to connect with individuals struggling with cross-cultural issues and assist in developing coping skills to manage life's anxieties. Through her work in community mental health centers, Ewelina has gained expertise in helping individuals heal from trauma such as sexual assault, childhood abuse as well as physical and emotional abuse. In addition, she has also completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, which allows her to assist couples improve their communication styles and explore future goals throughout each stage of their relationship. Ewelina has also offered guidance to a variety of clients on issues involving work-life balance, health and wellness, and behavioral and emotional health in an employee assistance setting. Ewelina earned a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, graduating with honors. She is also fluent in French and Polish and offers services in both languages. 


 

 
SAREN LECOMPTE, LCPC
Psychotherapist 
Saren is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned her Masters of Education in Counseling from DePaul University and her BA in Psychology from Colorado College. With over 8 years of experience as a helping professional, Saren has worked in child welfare, residential treatment and higher education providing therapeutic services and direct care. She has provided services to individuals of varying ages and diverse backgrounds and through individual, couples and family therapy she has garnered expertise in such areas as trauma, attachment, relationship issues, life transitions, parenting, Depression and more. Recognizing each client’s personal strengths and challenges, Saren tailors her approach to each person’s unique needs to assist individuals develop self-awareness, enhance connections with others and effectively navigate present and future challenges.  
 

 
FELICIA LEVY, LCSW
Psychotherapist 
Felicia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience. Her therapeutic style is warm, compassionate and interactive. She provides support, empathy and insight with integrity and humor, which allows clients to step back from stressful situations, gain perspective and feel better. Felicia believes everyone has the capacity to learn, grow and discover their own strengths which are already inherent, yet just perhaps a bit forgotten. Counseling gives clients the opportunity to explore issues in a safe place, without judgment and enables clients to reach their desired goals. She is passionate about helping people find balance, reach their goals and live happy lives. Felicia received her Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern Illinois University and her Masters of Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work. She is also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and a Problem Compulsive Gambling Counselor (PCGC).
 
 

 
JAMIE EDWARDS, LCSW
Psychotherapist 
Jamie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families. Her approach to psychotherapy centers around a caring, nurturing relationship coupled with a safe and non-judgmental environment. Jamie recognizes clients' inherent strengths and in the development of the therapeutic relationship, helps clients to discover how they can be used to facilitate change. She believes that even adversity can be a source of strength and an opportunity to better oneself. Jamie has a special interest in treating mood disorders, anxiety, grief, life adjustments, and trauma. She has worked in child welfare, domestic and sexual violence, hospice, and long-term care settings. She has been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that can quicken the healing process, in addition to other therapy modalities. Jamie uses a holistic approach that includes mind, body, and environmental factors. She believes strongly in using a variety of techniques in order for clients to reach their maximum potential and happiness. 
 
 
 
KYLE SHIVER, MA
Psychotherapist and Administrative Associate
Kyle provides  individual, couples and family therapy with an integrative approach rooted in an Existential-Humanistic psychotherapy, drawing from diverse methodologies appropriate for diverse individual with unique needs. He believes the individual seeking therapy is the agent of change in their own lives, and that a therapist offers meaningful partnership in the exploration and development of their authentic self. He provides a supportive, warm, and accepting environment for clients that allows them the freedom to make closer emotional contact with themselves and others and create new meaning in life. Kyle is passionate about diversity and social justice, and enjoys working with clients from various backgrounds, cultures, sexual orientations, and religious or spiritual paths, Kyle holds a Master's in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
 
 
 
 
 
CARA CHAE, LCPC

Cara is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over eight years of clinical experience working with individuals and families with a focus on work-life balance, stress management, and substance abuse treatment. Cara believes the most productive approach to therapy is leveraging a client's strengths to bolster overall process. Cara utilizes a solution-focused approach which guides clients towards interventions and solutions that are effective, while being tailored to a person's own definition of success and progress. While her clinical interests lie in the ways in which family and relationships shape the individual, she balances process oriented work with an emphasis on concrete steps rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).  Cara works to establish an empathic and compassionate space, meeting clients where they are. She strongly believes that therapy should be a "two-way street" where she is engaged and active in the work of her clients. Cara received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee and her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Downtown Chicago.
