Julia believes that everyone knows how to heal themselves. Sometimes, it just takes a caring person to listen. She has been trained in a wide variety of treatment modalities and will integrate them into counseling whenever it is appropriate. Julia has always strived to help others in need and does so in a way that makes sure people feel heard and understood. She believes that all individuals deserve the chance at happiness and will work to make that dream happen for those individuals she sees for therapy.
The first session is an intake where she will get background information from you and what is currently driving you to reach out for therapy. The following session you will begin working on treatment goals and explore different options and interventions. After those two sessions, the work will begin, with Julia integrating different techniques to help an individual achieve their goals and get the most out of therapy.
Those modalities include:
EMDR, play therapy, Sand Tray, Expressive Therapies, CFTSI, and TF-CBT to name a few.
She uses these modalities to allow the body to express what words may not be able to.
Areas of Treatment:
She specializes in trauma, addictions, abuse, depressive disorders, mood disorders, dissociation, and behavioral concerns. She works with all age ranges, 6 years and older.
Benefits of Therapy:
