I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help my clients get a sense of control over their own anxiety. We collaborate to learn skills to reduce the frequency or intensity of the anxious feelings, to tolerate the anxiety when it does occur so they can still function through it, and to practice habits that reduce stress and improve general mental health.

I would say the majority of my clients suffer from and come to me for anxiety and stress. Anxiety in particular can be debilitating. Stress causes or aggravates many health issues. I believe anxiety and stress can be treated through nutritional counseling, exercise and mental health counseling. I see anxiety as a result of trying to "control" the people and situations we cannot. The result is your mind being overwhelmed by the task of control. The more we try to control, the more anxiety that is produced. I hope to help my clients separate what they can control reasonably and realistically from what is out of their control.
