There are many factors that contribute to problems in career decisions, not the least of which is an economy in transition from manufacturing to service and information and health technologies. With a client needing help here, I might focus on dealing with separation from parents expectations, clarify the client's own strengths, and then help to strategize an effective search.

I work well with clients of any age who are considering a new direction for their work lives, or who have already embarked on a new vocational path. I especially love helping clients discover what work fits their values and holds meaning for them. I am effective at faciliating decision-making and assisting clients in identifying, clarifying, and pursuing their goals. In working with me, clients often are able to hear and speak up in their own voice when it's in danger of being crowded out by others' opinions and wishes. I will also offer support and encouragement to empower and embolden clients to answer a calling if they should hear one.

Are you at the beginning of your career or are you looking for a new option? A new possibility can be scary especially if you have been performing at a specific job for a while. Some people know very early what their purpose is in life and they find a way to be paid at what they love to do but others may need more time and guidance. If you fall into the second category, I can help you explore and narrow down what and how you would like to invest your time and energy.
