It is essential to properly identify children who need support early on. When children are expressing behavioral, social, academic or interpersonal problems, they are begging for help. Proper help begins with understanding why the child is expressing symptoms. Psychologists on our staff have strong backgrounds in child development, neuropsychology, psychological testing, clinical and school psychology.

I have been working with young children for the past 12 years. I use innovative techniques and skills including games, activities and worksheets to allow children to feel comfortable and to express themselves freely. I also implement creative therapeutic techniques and art therapy to continue to join and assist children to open their dialogue to reach their goals.

Having a troubled child can be very upsetting, whether the child seems worried, sad, angry, or oppositional. My work focuses on alleviating the child's suffering as well as helping the parent learn strategies to feel more effective in dealing with their child's problems. In helping young children, I usually work with the child (through talking therapy and/or play therapy,) the parent (through exploring behavioral and communication strategies) and the parent-child relationship (through assisting the family members to communicate better and collaborate on solutions to the problems.) My approach is eclectic and includes psychodynamic, behavioral and cognitive behavioral element
