Child Counselor

Kevin Fleming Ph.D.

Coach/Change Agent/Consultant

For a new short term, effective approach to Psychotherapy, give me a call or email, kevin@kevinflemingphd.com
Many times, child therapists overdo the family system in their quest to seek effective solutions for emotional, learning or behavioral concerns with young children. And many times doctors overpathologize issues that shouldn’t be medicated necessarily. This leaves parents wondering what is the best route for their child? Introducing brainwave optimization technology. A fast, effective, natural, and less expensive way to allow your child's brain to make the optimizing changes it desires to make---on its own! Without any external force, opinion, medication, diagnostic, etc. Contact kevin@kevinflemingphd.com or 877-606-6161.

Piper Walsh, Ph.D

Clinical Psychologist

Within Driving Distance of Mission Viejo, CA

Raising your children can be a rewarding and joyous experience. Still, parenting comes with unique challenges and often frustrations, at every stage of development. I help parents learn not only what works, but also how to consistently implement change. Together we work on appropriate expectations, setting limits, and developing strategies to solve problems as they happen. I also concentrate on discipline, approaching it from a natural consequence viewpoint, rather than as a punitive measure. After all, the goal of any external discipline should be that the child eventually internalize it and discipline themselves. Child Counselor

Kimi Schumacher, M.S., LMFT, LPCC, RPT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

I am a Registered Play Therapist. Counseling children is different than working with adults. Children have not yet developed the areas of their brain associated with language and communication that adults use in typical "talk therapy" counseling. Play is the language of children, and through their play they are able to process their problems, such as divorce, loss of a loved one, behavior problems, trauma, anxiety, depression, or other difficult situations. Because play therapy is at a child's level, it is less invasive and less threatening. Children might not even have the words, thoughts or feelings to verbalize their experiences.
