Having someone outside the family circle can provide a safe environment to begin to deal with those difficulties. I offer that kind of opportunity to be able to review and revise old patterns of communication in order to experience more satisfying relationships.

Regardless understanding why and how you do what you do (ie where you come from and generational strengths and weaknesses better serves you in your relationships across the lifespan.
