Personal Bio

Christie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (R.C.C.) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.  She holds a dual specialty in Marriage & Family Therapy and Trauma Resolution. Additionally, Christie is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with the CMA Society of Canada. She integrates both professional counselling for individuals, couples, and families, in addition to working with small to medium sized businesses in the areas of company growth plans, change management, human resources, and organizational development.

Christie's approach with you, the client, is to address the underlying, or root issues, so you become free of the chronic stress and emotional drain of the issues that you are facing.  This creates an opportunity to move beyond coping and to explore your unique purpose once the stressors are resolved in your life. 

Christie has developed a unique approach to meeting client needs.  This approach moves beyond the conventional session structure providing you, the client, a greater opportunity to utilize the tools and insight gained in session.  Christie's goal for clients is to move through counselling in the most efficient way without a requirement for long-term, ongoing therapy.  This results - oriented approach helps you to resolve issues and move forward to fully enjoy your life and purpose.

Christie has specialized training in TIR (traumatic incident reduction) and has been on the British Columbia Critical Incidents Response Team for the Workers Compensation Board.  She is also a counsellor for the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP) providing therapy for victims and families of violence and crime.
