In my professional and personal experience I have found that problems with anxiety, stress, depression, and anger issues are often overlapping. Many people feel mixed emotions of fear, worry, pressure, frustration, guilt, shame and low self worth. Unfortunately we have a tendency to doubt our abilities and our value which can quickly become a 'self fulfilling prophecy' and cause us to judge ourselves harshly, and/or isolate from others. This can become a cycle but it can often be broken by speaking openly with a professional who is competent, kind and encouraging. I am diligent in helping clients identify the false core beliefs and establish new beliefs that empower them again.

Do you 'worry yourself sick' sometimes not even knowing what it is you are anxious about or fearful of? Worry about worrying? Fee that overwhelming, heart pounding, grabbing anxiety can at times be totally incapacitating and unbearagle. Your doctor may have given an antianxiety medication, or drinking alcohol or smoking tobacco products or marijuana might have 'taken the edge off', helped for a while, but the worry and stress seem to mount nevertheless. You are not alone. You will get to the source of what you are really afraid of, and look at it in a new way that brings you the peace of mind and sense of freedom you have been chasing for years and years.

Anxiety & Stress is unavoidable - I counsel Anxiety & Stress Resolution through applying T.A. Psychotherapy's effective tools & skills to guide clients to practice healthy core perceptions & perspectives to resolve hidden fears beneath anxiety/stress reactions. Clients identify & release old fears, unhealthy emotional reactions & 'out-of-control' behaviors; then learn & practice healthy changes to create inner peace & calm, form clear thoughts, make sound decisions, gain power to create safety & security for self & loved ones. Since fears, anxiety & stress reactions are old learned behaviors, clients make new 'Re-Decisons' & practice healthy responses to build certainty, freedom & peace.

One of the keys to managing stress and reducing anxiety is to recognize the triggers and intervene before the anxiety or stress takes over. Often we have underlying belief systems that contribute to our stress and anxious states. By shifting those belief systems, and by learning mindfulness, relaxation, and resourcing techniques, we can begin to increase our ability to tolerate stressful situations while remaining calm. When we are in a calm state we have greater access to the part of our brain that assists us in planning and problem solving. Sessions with Candy focus on increasing this ability remain calm, access the higher functions of our brains, and reclaim our lives.

Unresolved issues accumulate like steam in a pressure cooker. After exploring what anxiety and stress are for each individual I then list the 'ingredients' that contribute to the pressure cooker and we resolve them one by one until the client feels better and functions better. Often, if not always, when we identify the 'root' issue, (the main 'ingredient') we are able to clear a lot of anxiety and stress and natually get in touch with more positive and healthy thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Simply, we feel and function better!

Anxiety and stress affects your whole being. It is a normal and physical response to feeling overwhelmed and it is also the fear of not being able to handle a situation. Together we can explore what those fears are and how to handle them. I employ active and directive techniques to help clients identify where their anxiety and stress originates, how to better manage it and how to create lasting changes. My goal is to help clients come to a more peaceful state and help them to create more harmony in their life. I incorporate a directive, symptom specific approach to help clients isolate problem behaviors, clarify specific problems as well as apply cognitive-behavioral approaches.

Most of us experience anxiety or stress in our lives. When our coping skills aren’t enough to handle worry and stress, therapy can help tremendously. We specialize in helping people learn to handle stress in their lives through one on one counselling or workshops. We focus on the whole person, helping them identify the stressors or worries in their lives, and explore the many different ways that they can manage stress. We explore their belief systems they have about themselves, helping them re-frame some of them. We help them with many tools that are effective in handling pressure in our lives, including relaxation methods, assertiveness, boundaries and self esteem to name a few general areas. W....
