Angela is an experienced therapist who provides a Christian counselling perspective to explore a variety of issues that may be affecting you, your marriage or your family. Her training and experience support individuals with a wide variety of issues related to grief & loss, marital discord, family violence/conflict, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, parent-child relationships, life transitions, addictions, anger management and self-care. I help clients work through the issues that prevent them from having the life that they want for themselves. Christian clients that want to work from a biblical perspective are helped by addressing the issues through the lense of their belief system. We can look up bible verses that address the topics that they are wanting to work on in the appointments.

God is amazing! He's always present, knows everything, and always has our backs. Still, there are times when it feels like He is distant, unresponsive, maybe that He's abandoned you. Been there.... But looking back, He was there during my hardest times, even when I thought He wasn't. He's there for you too during whatever challenges you're going through. Our relationship with our Creator and Saviour can always be improved. How? Look through the books of the Bible. (My personal favourites are Job, Esther, and Ruth.) While I don't offer "Christian counselling" as a modality, I am a counsellor who is a Christian. I have a degree in Theology, and before becoming a psychotherapist I spent 10 years in pastoral church ministry. Many who have been part of the Church and ‘church culture’ have been impacted. Sorting through faith experiences and one’s theological beliefs is part of what might lead you to seek a Christian counsellor. For anyone who is deconstructing or reconstructing their faith, has experienced pain or abuse within in their faith community/clergy, or are simply interested in a biblical approach to psychotherapy, I can help with that.

My faith based approach to counselling offers help towards healing and change.
