Jennifer is a Christian, that completed her Masters degree in Counselling at Providence Theological Seminary. She understands why some Christians would prefer to work with a therapist that is in line with their own spiritual beliefs, as worldview does inform one's practice and the direction therapy takes. Because Jennifer completed her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Victoria, with Distinction, she has both a high level of psychological knowledge along with theological understanding. She was also mentored for 18 months post Masters by one of the world's leading Christian psychologists, Dr. David Benner. I offer Christian/Biblical Counselling due to my own personal conversion from Islam to Christianity where I was saved after nearly dying from a fatal car accident on Deerfoot Trail in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My faith saved me not only from my physical injuries sustained in the accident and my chronic ill health of rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia but also from my emotional and psychological trauma and heartbreak. I was so filled with God's unconditional acceptance that healing came quickly after I surrendered and was baptized.

My approach integrates your spiritual beliefs with psychological principles, providing a holistic path to healing. Parent/child counseling based on Christian principles will be offered upon the parent's request. Counselors are available at Keystone Child and Family Therapy who are rooted in Christian theology and offer practical parenting strategies based on this foundation. Biblical principles will be used to help strengthen family relationships and facilitate optimal development for children.
