Brea California started out as the center of crude oil production. However, business was later generated from citrus production. Today, it is considered by Sunset magazine to be one of the best suburbs to live in in the Western United States, and perhaps the best shopping district in Orange County.1 The Brea Mall is recently redeveloped and is within minutes of the California State University of Fullerton, making it a popular destination for nearby college students. The mall not only serves as a retail haven, but has also catered to recording artists such as Ashlee Simpson and Ryan Cabrera. The mall isn’t the only place where people can go to hang out. There are 15 parks and recreation facilities within the Brea city boundaries, providing a place for outdoor recreation or just basking in the Southern Californian sun. The parks in Brea are quite extensive, with one of them even including a climbing wall, bicycle trails, and great spots for fishing.
