Marriage counseling is one of the most challenging and yet most rewarding work a counselor can do. I work largely from a Christian based Gottman approach that quickly assesses the unique problems within the relationship ensuring we work on what needs repair.

I work with adolescents, individuals, and couples with a variety of issues ranging from moderate to severe depression, anxiety, personality disorders, self-esteem, anger management, and weight issues to name a few.

Fighting with a loved one is exhausting -- often based on misconceptions, blame, defensiveness. I can provide you with skills to communicate safely while managing intense emotions and gently explore with you underlying issues in order to promote compassion/resolution.

In addition to individual counseling, I provide treatment to couples and families. Areas of treatment include developing effective communication, addressing conflict in a compassionate environment and learning how to support loved ones who are in recovery.

In my work with couples, I take non high conflict couples who want to better communicate and heal attachment wounds. In my work with kids I like to involve their system (parent/parents/family) to promote support and bonding.

I work with individuals, couples, and families to change destructive patterns, and move towards positive communication, and emotional connectivity.

I particularly like to work with gay male couples experiencing relationship problems. However, I also provide marriage preparation and other conjoint therapy aimed at better communication and facilitation of change and fulfillment in romantic relationships.

I currently work with individuals navigating relationship challenges but do not offer couples or marriage counseling at this time.
