Using a Harm Reduction approach to treatment of addictions has proven to be an effective model for intervention with a wide range of substance and behavioral addictions. A Harm Reduction approach helps the addict formulate goals and structures behaviors around their attainment. Before we know it we can often find ourselves addicted and empty. Because I can admit my own brokenness, I can help you find the strength and courage you will need to embark on your journey toward freedom. We can walk together toward recovery and rehabilitation. My philosophy of therapy and change is that change comes from within. As a therapist, I ask a great deal in asking an individual to change, as change is an incredibly difficult task for everyone. The journey of change requires both the client and myself to work collaboratively throughout this journey. It is for this reason that the rapport between the client and myself is critical. I aim to provide all my clients with the space to explore their underlying feelings, thoughts, and behaviors so that they can engage in change.
