Through an IFS approach, I can help you get to the root of the issues that are contributing to your alcohol or substance misuse and work towards true healing. At the same time, I can help you learn behavioural and cognitive skills to support your recovery.

I am an addiction specialist with over 20 years of addiction therapy experience and a PhD in addiction psychology. I use the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model and a holistic approach (in layman's terms - I work with each person as a unique individual). Some people benefit from 12 step approaches, other's do not. I have a wide range of tools in my tool box that help me to fine tune the treatment to the person - not the other way around. Recent brain imaging studies have convinced me that addiction is in the brain, not the bottle - and so I work extensively with people who have "process addictions" where gambling, sex, porn, internet, shopping, spending, and or gaming, are a problem.
