I provide individual and group counselling to people of all ages. By building rapport, trust and mutual respect, a learning environment is created within which frank discussions between the clients and I can take place. We assess their past experiences and qualifications. With further analysis of their inner motivations, natural talents, skills and potential, they are able to establish clear, specific goals for themselves. Their dreams finally become achievable as they map out the concrete steps they will be taking to move from present circumstances into the careers of their choice.

There can be a lot of pressure to figure out one’s career or to decide where one fits within a particular field. Oftentimes this is a winding road rather than a straight route. Within therapy, I will support you in identifying and exploring the values, goals, interests, and passions most important to you so that you can make decisions about your career that feel right to you. I will also work with you to process possible obstacles along the way such as (and certainly not limited to) challenging work dynamics, stress and burnout, and difficulties finding a work/life balance. In career therapy, we will explore your interests, desires, strengths and challenges, your spirituality, education level and social, political or economical limitations, to discover what work might be meaningful, suitable and fruitful for you. We will then create a plan to work towards your desired career path.

I have a PhD in leadership and policy and a background in business. I've had many jobs and careers from modelling, personal training, to a Bell operator and a Purolator driver. I've been in retail sales, and sold photocopies, PR, and software. I've been a teacher of primary/junior students, and professor in sales, and a professor in graduate education.
