My approach to Christian counselling draws on cognitive science and the understanding of Jesus as a guide into metanoia — a transformation of mind and being. This is not about doctrine but about moving beyond propositional belief into participatory knowing — a lived alignment with love, presence, and meaning. I help clients heal from spiritual injury, alienation, or disconnection from the Sacred, restoring right relationship with self, others, and the divine through a process grounded in agape and transformation.

Whatever your religious beliefs, your spirituality, your faith, your cultural and family background, we believe that everyone has difficulty with it at times throughout their lives. Sometimes we need someone to be able to talk with about these things that aren't directly connected to our family, or our spiritual dwellings. Sometimes we just need someone unbiased, or someone that believes similar things that we do, because it can be lonely wrestling with our spirituality. Hope Centered Counselling is non-judgmental and wants to be your support system that creates a safe space for you to explore your experience.

For clients who want faith included in therapy, I offer a respectful space where emotional healing and Christian values can work together. We can explore anxiety, grief, relationship stress, forgiveness, identity, or life decisions through both sound therapeutic methods and Biblical wisdom. Sessions are tailored to your comfort level, whether you want prayer, scripture reflection, or simply values-based support. My goal is to help you feel emotionally stronger, spiritually grounded, and more confident in the next steps of your life.

A Biblical base simply means that the therapist believes that all human beings were created in the image of God, intended for relationship and designed with the capacity for growth and change. Forgiveness, personal empowerment, learning to love self and other are critical parts of the process. Jesus said "I came to heal the broken hearted" and at some point, most of us would love to sink into that compassionate offer. Biblical based counselling does not infer any judgement or inflexibility within the therapeutic process.

As a Christian, I greatly appreciate how faith and spirituality play a role in our daily lives. Yet God still calls us to be in the world and to experience many different aspects of human life, even things we think God could fix. Making sense of the differences between what we believe God wants and what we face daily can be distressing and lead to despair and depression. Talking about these losses with someone with a similar faith can be vital as we navigate these challenges.
