For many Christians, it can be a challenge to find a counsellor who shares their belief system. At Meristem, our services are rooted in evidence-based therapeutic approaches presented through a Christian lens for those who so desire. I have spent my life in the study and teaching of Scriptures, and am aware of the vast variety and riches available to us in our different Christian traditions. I am a Spiritual Director. Through my upbringing as a third generation Holocaust survivor I have learned through my family the strength of will and survival of Judaism. When people come to me they are looking for a larger presence in their lives. I am able to help others find faith and hope and reconnect to G-D. Something needs to shift in order to be able to reconnect. If it is darkness you see then I will guide you to the light. I will help guide you towards the wisdom you already have within you. To me, the greatest part of being a Christian is being Christ-like, meaning, looking at each and every individual as a worthwhile human being, created for a purpose. When people stop believing in themselves, I like to help them get back on track and feel good about themselves. I’ve successfully worked with disadvantaged kids, the elderly, troubled teens, ashamed individuals, and couples feeling hopeless. I see my clients through the Lord’s eyes, as precious and valuable, and I do my best to help them look at themselves that way. I strongly believe in divine forgiveness and lack of judgment, which allows people in the darkest places to forgive themselves and have hope for a better future.
