I am a licensed practitioner with the Church of Religious Science which is a Christian based, non denominational, church. The foundational doctrines in this church follow the truth of Jesus' teachings. A fundamental teaching of this perspective is that God is love, and as such, Jesus is the representation of God, or love, in human form. We all have the potential to be "Christ conscious" and just as Jesus said, we all are capable of doing even greater works than he (John 14:12). My work as a Christian counsellor is not as adherent to a particular religious dogma as most, but rather broader, less dogmatic, and more firmly seated in the actual teachings of Jesus.

Many years ago while I asked God for a career path, He hired me to work in His counselling profession. I received my integrated training (God's word/Psychology) at Trinity Western University. Since, I have been privileged to work hand-in-hand with God helping people heal their emotional/spiritual wounds, hurtful and often dehydrated relationships. If God hadn't invited me into His counselling profession, I would not be a counsellor today. The best counselling outcomes are accomplished through God's leading, intervention, empowerment and healing. God guides the sessions with His truth, wisdom and love. I love my job. Daily, I thank God for letting me be part of His great commission.

I am deeply committed to helping people foster healthy relationships, both with themselves and with their loved ones. I also am someone whose personal faith shapes and drives my vocation as a Psychotherapist and Couples Therapist. I have spent my life in the study and teaching of Scriptures, and am aware of the vast variety and riches available to us in our different Christian traditions. I welcome those from any of these traditions. Together we can use counselling insights and approaches, working within the framework of traditional and emerging Christian thought and practice, as we work on understanding and resolving the various issues and concerns you bring into counselling.

My credentials include a BTh (Bachelor of Theology) and MDiv (Clinical Counselling) from Tyndale University and Seminary, as well as an internship at People's Church in Toronto, ON. As a Christian Counsellor, I offer Focusing which involves inner healing and a nonjudgmental walking alongside you in your journey. Having had experience with church abuse, I welcome those who have had negative spiritual experiences. If you have another spiritual worldview or no spiritual view, therapy will not include Christian counselling discussion. Share your spiritual worldview openly at our first session and your desires will be respected.

I am trained in Spiritual Direction as well as Clinical counselling. Conversations about Christianity and the role of God are an important part of my work with clients who are seeking Christian counselling. I welcome your thoughts and issues about how to see the opportunity for growth in faith, or how God maybe found in the process through His Word, or how to develop a deeper relationship with God. I offer non-judgmental counselling with compassion, We can work together through guilt, shame, grief, anxiety, depression, stress, sexuality, spiritual discernment and issues in relationship.

As a Christian, I greatly appreciate how faith and spirituality play a role in our daily lives. Yet God still calls us to be in the world and to experience many different aspects of human life, even things we think God could fix. Making sense of the differences between what we believe God wants and what we face daily can be distressing and lead to despair and depression. Talking about these losses with someone with a similar faith can be vital as we navigate these challenges. As a faithful Christian with a diploma in Christian Studies, I provide counseling that integrates professional therapeutic approaches with a faith-centered perspective. In Christian counseling, I help clients navigate life’s challenges while staying grounded in their values, exploring emotions, relationships, and personal growth through both practical strategies and spiritual reflection. Clients often gain clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose, strengthening their connection to God and living in alignment with their beliefs.
