That's why it's so important to find a therapist who understands your faith and knows how to provide sound biblically-based counselling. I've spent more than 5 years studying theology for both my personal and professional growth to ensure I can provide therapy that is both theologically sound and spiritually-guided. While my experience is in the Evangelical Christian community, I am happy to serve people from all faith-based backgrounds.

My credentials include a BTh (Bachelor of Theology) and MDiv (Clinical Counselling) from Tyndale University and Seminary, as well as an internship at People's Church in Toronto, ON. As a Christian Counsellor, I offer Focusing which involves inner healing and a nonjudgmental walking alongside you in your journey. Having had experience with church abuse, I welcome those who have had negative spiritual experiences. If you have another spiritual worldview or no spiritual view, therapy will not include Christian counselling discussion. Share your spiritual worldview openly at our first session and your desires will be respected.

I am a licensed practitioner with the Church of Religious Science which is a Christian based, non denominational, church. The foundational doctrines in this church follow the truth of Jesus' teachings. A fundamental teaching of this perspective is that God is love, and as such, Jesus is the representation of God, or love, in human form. We all have the potential to be "Christ conscious" and just as Jesus said, we all are capable of doing even greater works than he (John 14:12). My work as a Christian counsellor is not as adherent to a particular religious dogma as most, but rather broader, less dogmatic, and more firmly seated in the actual teachings of Jesus.
