At Beyond the Storm Counselling, we would describe ourselves as Christians who do counselling, recognizing the integral role that spiritual health can have on our overall wellbeing. Those who are not from the Christian faith are also welcome and Beyond the Storm Counselling will provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for healing, learning, and growth to occur.

I hold a Masters of Divinity in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University. I also spent over 20 years involved in various Christian Leadership roles. I do not practice or hold to this religion any longer. In my clinical work, I work with clients who are processing spiritual abuse/trauma and I regularly work with clients who are navigating deconstruction. I believe it is important to clarify, I am affirming and fully accepting of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I consider myself an ally to this community. In my clinical work, I consider it an honour to work with members of this community who have been wounded by the Christian Church.

Spirituality is a vast topic that may or may not overlap with religion. Having had training and experience with spirituality, I am happy to meet you wherever you are in your spiritual journey.
