At Beyond the Storm Counselling, we would describe ourselves as Christians who do counselling, recognizing the integral role that spiritual health can have on our overall wellbeing. If you are a person of faith, it can be helpful to have a psychotherapist who shares your beliefs and can challenge you in becoming the person you are called to be. Those who are not from the Christian faith are also welcome and Beyond the Storm Counselling will provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for healing, learning, and growth to occur.

Being reminded that having a strong and resilient faith can be a very supportive and powerful intervention. Spirituality may be explored as a source of meaning, strength, and guidance, while also addressing emotional and relational concerns. Clients are supported in making sense of challenges through both a therapeutic and faith-informed lens. Many benefit from increased spiritual clarity, emotional healing, and a deeper sense of alignment between faith and lived experience.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that.
