I create a non-judgmental and supportive environment for clients who are struggling with this particular issue. I do not see abstinence as a black and white term. Instead, I view past failures and successes as learning opportunities. I also focus on the antecedents that contribute to substance use, such as interpersonal problems, feeling hopeless, or overwhelming emotions. Together, we will discover different or more effective ways to deal with life challenges.

Addiction can occur with many substances and activities - alcohol, street drugs, prescription drugs, caffeine, food, porn, sex, gambling, Together, we will gain insight into the root of your addiction and the purpose it has served in your life. I will provide us with the compassionate and supportive dynamic essential to your journey of creating the life experience you desire.

When I work with individuals who have difficulty with addiction we will first work to discover what is driving the addiction. Together we will discover past events which have lead to present day addictions. Hypnosis, Brainspotting, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) are helpful in moving through past trauma, allowing clients to alleviate trigger responses from the environment, which is essential in the healing process.
