When people ask if I do "Christian Counselling" I struggle to give them a simple answer. Do you do "Christian Plumbing?" This question suggests that there is a specific method or technique that is "Christian Counselling" which there is not. To me, Christian Counselling is using the lens of Biblical teachings to interpret and then apply psychological research. This means that I may use many of the same techniques used by other counsellors, but for different reasons. I do counselling based on an understanding that God made each of us as special and important beings, and is working to help us grow towards maturity, and will work with you towards the goal of living this truth out.

I believe that spirituality is a large component to building healthy relationships, overcoming life circumstances, and addressing big life questions. I encourage the exploration of your spirituality in the midst of your pain. My orientation is based on a Christian world view; however, I welcome clients with any religious orientation. Each session is built around your unique goals and personal world view. I welcome the opportunity to join with you wherever you are on this journey.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth.
