My extensive training in family systems theory helps me to promote better understanding and collaboration between family members. When one or more individuals are having problems I will help you understand them through focusing on family patterns as well as the parts played by individuals. We will come up with ideas and new ways of behaving based on deeper understanding of everyone’s contributing role within the family system. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, I help families recognize patterns of thoughts and behaviors that may be contributing to problems and develop healthier ways of interacting. Sessions are interactive and solution-focused, and I often provide practical strategies or activities to practice.

Family Therapy is done from a holistic systems perspective. We examine the challenges you experience as a family, the dynamics of communication, the age of the children involved, and the relationship issues between the members in the family unit.
