I have been working with individuals for the past 30 years. My goal is to create a safe place in which you really can explore yourself and your situation in a new light. Choosing self-growth is a courageous decision and I congratulate you for taking the step towards the life that you want.

Your conflicts, all the difficult things, the problematic situations in your life are not chance of haphazard, they are actually yours, designed specifically for you by a part of you that lives you more than anything else.  That part of you that loves you more than anything else has created roadblocks to lead you to yourself.  ~ A. H Almass.

I want to take a moment to thank the part of you that brought you to my website—the part of you that wants to grow,
learn, and experience more joy, well-being, and aliveness. One of my favorite teachers, A.H. Almaas, refers to this part of us as the optimizing function. In my own experience, I feel it as warm energy that seeks ever-greater expansion and light in order to give more to others.

I honor the optimizing function which is certainly in you.  Your desire to grow, learn, and heal is within your authentic self.  Your transformational and healing journey will provide you with the tools to create your next chapter.  When embarking on the journey of healing, Perception is an important part of the process.  Sometimes our beliefs and understanding of how to live a good life become weighed down in needless complexity, rules, and judgments. The key to change is curiosity and an open mind and heart. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. ~ Wayne Dyer

Perception shapes our reality and at times it feels like we live in a very traumatized world.

PERCEPTIONS SHAPE REALITY: What we see in life depends on where we are coming from ~ Dr. Gabor MateI believe we can create a new positive world for ourselves, once we understand how and have the skills to do so.  In our lives, thinking is important, strong, and adaptive, but emotions are usually avoided, pushed down or numbed through distraction and addictions. Together, we can explore how our emotions - our ability to feel and understand can open the door to endless possibilities.  When you give yourself permission to feel, your emotional intelligence is your power to achieve well-being and success.

We are not designed to handle pain alone. I offer psychotherapy which can transform wounds to wellness.  You may be experiencing low self-worth, anxiety, relational distress, anger, depression, addictions, trauma, despair or bereavement. Our society is fixated on coping with problems but never actually dealing with them. My job is to step into your pain with you, not to apply a band-aid, but to feel it with you.
There are a few simple steps to holding difficult emotions and beliefs:
  1. Acknowledge your pain and discomfort when it comes up.
  2. Explore your perception about the situation.
  3. Connect with body sensations and emotions such as: pain, sadness, shame, and anger, in our safe space.
  4. Notice how you feel in your body once you have acknowledged your emotions and understand perceptions and old beliefs.
Doing this will help you rebuild your relationship to your body, emotions, create New Perceptions, and the ability to respond when you are triggered. Nurturing your own development isn't selfish. It's actually a great gift to other people. Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it’s our greatest measure of courage.” ~Brene Brown
