Sometimes life is just hard. Whether it is situational, relational, behavioral, or emotional, at times life can be plain stressful and overwhelming. My goal is to help you sort through the chaos and provide you with the tools and resources needed to create long-lasting changes.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have my doctorate degree in Psychology. I have a master’s degree in Professional Counseling and a bachelor’s in Psychology. I am trained in various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Neurofeedback, and Motivational Interviewing.

I specialize in working with adults, teens, and children in areas such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, grief/loss, life transitions, and personal improvement. I also specialize in working within the context of families, couples, & parent-child relationships in order to increase communication and improve overall relational functioning.

Additionally, I specialize in working with children and teens who have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD and experience school difficulties and social skill concerns. The symptoms of ADD/ADHD can be extremely frustrating for a child and can often lead to feelings of hopelessness and helplessness in school and social settings, as well as when trying to keep and maintain friends. These symptoms can also be difficult for parents and teachers to understand, and therefore at times can have a negative impact on the relationship between the child and adults in their lives. By assisting the child/teen to learn to self-regulate (without punishment), and learn to increase their personal control over their thoughts and behaviors, these children can start to thrive in both school and social settings. I use a specialized neurocognitive training software that is clinically proven to improve attention, memory, finishing tasks, and behavior, as well as reduce impulsivity and increase ability to filter out distractions.

I provide an integrated approach to treatment and believe that counseling should be individualized to the specific needs of each client. I believe in providing my clients with the essential tools and resources needed in order to obtain the healing and change they are seeking, as well as to maintain this transformation long-term. It is extremely important to me to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment for all my clients. I recognize how difficult it can be to seek help and to take the first step towards change, but please know that I am here for you and I am honored to have the opportunity to support and empower you through this process.
