Melisa has helped thousands of women discover their purpose and live their best lives for over 17 years. Melisa is a graduate of Roosevelt University where she earned her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Psychology.
Melisa is dedicated to helping women discover their purpose, raise their self confidence, manage chronic disease, recover from divorce, develop skills to parent challenging children and live a life that they love. Melisa uses Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Mindful Meditation and Solution focused techniques to move her clients forward. Melisa is also trained in Substance Abuse counseling and Anger management treatment for adults and teenagers.
Ms. Alaba is the author of Live Out Loud, 52 Ways to Reawaken Your Spirit and Live a Life of Purpose. Melisa is a Thyroid cancer survivor and she uses her voice to encourage women to take care of their health and well being. Melisa is also a strong advocate for women’s rights, economic empowerment for women and self care advocate for single moms and professional women. Melisa is the mother of three daughters and a new grandmother.
When Melisa is not working you can find her walking on a trail, exploring a new area in the city, and reading a good book.
