Dr. Stevenson's specialty is in integrating a comfortable therapeutic environment with scientifically proven interventions , all designed in collaboration with her clients to bring them the best possible outcomes and highest levels of success.

Counseling is about helping you through difficult times and emotions. This could mean overcoming hurtful feelings, changing negative thoughts, stopping destructive behavior and/or working on relationships. I provide a safe and caring place for this to happen.

I feel very lucky. My clients invite me into their lives, often sharing personal and sometimes painful experiences. Despite the concerns the individuals, couples, and families face, I am grateful to offer support, hope, and I am impressed by their courage.

I love couples' therapy most of all---helping strengthen bonds between people. I love individual therapy as well, and some family therapy. I also help restructure lives due to separation/divorce, including co-parenting therapy and co-parenting education.

Creating space in our lives to reflect and process is important for our well- being, and maintenance of healthy relationships. Therapy provides an opportunity to validate our experiences.

I work with a community of therapists committed to the understanding and transformation of emotional life. It is our goal to help people engage in this process through dialogue that is direct and authentic. If not me, I can direct you to one of my colleagues.
