Couples counseling is an opportunity to understand problematic patterns and explore new communication, behaviors, and connections. I help facilitate a more productive conversation in a safe environment and offer exercises and other resources to practice from home.

I offer three models of marriage counseling: Traditional, Solo and Guided. Traditional, both partners come to therapy, Solo, one partner comes in to work individually on relationship issues and guided, using the booklet, Loving Communicators.

I work with couples who seem to be locked in emotional cycles that are difficult to understand and to break out of. You can improve your communication and become emotionally focused and intimate with your partner by learning to speak openly and listen non-defensively.

I specialize in work with couples to discover the “We” in their partnership and find new vitality in their life together. My approach is based in the We Psychology of Fritz Kunkel and training in the Gottman Method.
